Artist's Statement
I can not recall a time when I wasn't driven to create, this drive earned me a BFA in design from the University of Iowa and later to attend the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where I studied illustration.

My work can be found printed in a variety of publications most notably in 'Fantasy Art Now' (published by Harper Collins) alongside other popular fantasy artists.

Though I am influenced by Alphonse Mucha, the Pre-Raphealites, Medieval and Celtic art my style is my own. I am capable of working in almost any media yet I choose to work primarily in watercolor and colored pencil. (It should be noted despite years of art classes I have ironically never taken a class in watercolor painting.)

My images feature an eclectic range of subjects, uniting them however is the feeling of magic and wonder that can be found in quite moments and imaginary worlds.
