Ben Rosenfield Medium Pottery drums, baskets, mugs, etc. Email ben@TheFrogGuy.com Website www.TheFrogGuy.com Artist's Statement Pottery is the expression and balance between form and function; combining the clay and glazes (earth, water), kiln atmosphere (air), and extreme high temperatures (fire) along with the hands and voice of the ceramic artist that make each piece of Frog Hollow Pottery something very special and unique. My handmade ceramic drums combine these elemental forces to create powerful works which become invoked through the expression and will of the drummer. As a child, I used to dig stoneware clay out of the soil to make coils and pots. Today, many years and miles away, that same clay is used in our high fire stoneware pottery, making everything from sulpture to functional ware, musical instruments, and our well known ceramic drums.
