Syndi Simon Medium Jewelry and Photography Email wildwinddesigns@att.net Artist's Statement As a retired Art and Home Economics teacher, I am enjoying expanding my "horizons" in photography, including digital, and jewelry. I like to explore materials and design ideas to see what I can create. Creativity is magic and makes you want to grow. The possibilities are endless. One of my favorite techniques is foldforming, pounding on metal and shaping it. Add a stone, patina, and you have wearable art. I taught photography to high school students in the 90's and learned more than I imparted to my classes. I love black and white and now my favorite is digital. There are no limits to what you can accomplish, and I feel that a person should learn something new every day. That is my goal in life - learning!
