About the charity Gallery In The Garden benefits

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McHenry County is a non-profit organization whose mission is to draw from community resources to provide well-trained volunteers who will advocate for abused and neglected children in our court system, provide needed information to the court, and help develop a more effective juvenile court process.  CASA, founded in 2005, provides trained volunteers to advocate for child victims of abuse and neglect in Juvenile Court and in the foster care system. CASA provides caring volunteers who make a life-long difference for children. These children have become involved in the Juvenile Court system because they are unable to live at homes, not because of something they did, but because their parents can’t, or won’t, take care of them. Volunteers are appointed by a judge and assigned to one case at a time, serving as an independent voice for abused and neglected children in court. Volunteers believe every child deserves to grow up in a safe and permanent home and they stay with a case until this goal is achieved.

Participating artists have agreed to donate 20% of their total sales to our charities.

 “The most vulnerable among us are the marginalized children of this community who don’t have a voice in our court system and CASA gives these kids a voice,” said Deb Glaubke, co-founder of Gallery In The Garden. “By making CASA our charity of choice this year we hope not only to help provide for their program, but also to make this region more aware of the critical work they do.”
